Chairman Threaten Legal Action Against Illegal Buildings On Council Land

The Chairman of Etsako East local government Area Council, Hon. Benedicta Attoh has threatened to pull down every illegal buildings built on council land any individual or group of persons.
The Chairman stated this during an inspection tour of the facilities in the council premises where she also directed the HOD in charge of works to move out every condemned furniture and other unserviceable equipment that is littering the premises of the Secretariat.
She called on those who are currently laying foundations within the council premises to desist from it to avoid having their houses demolished when the demolition exercise eventually commence.
According to her, “the council has plans to build new structures and expand, but as it stands today we may not be able to expand and the land is already occupied by illegal occupants”.
Hon. Benedicta has also scheduled another inspection tour where proper demarcation of the council land will be done and asked those concern to look for alternative land as this should serve as notice to them.
