Okoukoni Felicitates With Muslims On Eid-El-Maulud

As Muslims across the world mark this year Eid-El-Maulud, the birth of Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), a frontline Edo 2024 Governorship Aspirant, Mr. Martins Okoukoni has urged Muslim faithfuls to reflect on and seize the opportunity of the celebration to pray for unity and peace in Edo State.
In a message signed by Mr. Martins Okoukoni which emanated from the Martins Okoukoni Campaign Council and made available to newsmen, believed the celebration of the birth of Prophet Mohammed is a time for Muslim faithfuls to spread love, patience, tolerance, and perseverance and above all, rededicate themselves to the teachings of the prophet not just as a matter of religious obligation but also a recipe for peaceful coexistence in society.
In wishing the Muslim Ummah Happy Eid-el-Maulud celebrations, Mr. Okoukoni noted that this significant event holds great importance for Muslims worldwide, as it offers an opportunity for reflection, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to the teachings and principles exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
He urged Muslims to pray for the peace and progress of the State and the country, adding that the need for prayers is pertinent to set Edo State in particular and Nigeria at large on the right track.
The Edo State Governorship aspirant also urged Muslims to continue to shun acts and behaviours that may destabilize the unity and progress in society, just as the Prophet Mohammed would, urging them to be good neighbours and desirable ambassadors of change.
He noted that Edo State can achieve greatness and prosperity without unity of purpose and appreciating their individual endowments.
