Edo 2024: Esan Nolika Endorses Martins Okoukoni For Governor

An Esan social cultural group, ‘Esan Nolika’ based in Lagos has unanimously endorsed Martins Azekhumhen Okoukoni, Edo State Labour Party Governorship Aspirant for 2024 gubernatorial election in the state., pub-3120625432113532, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Rising from an extra ordinary meeting which took place yesterday, 16th October, 2024 in Ikeja, Lagos State, among other things, the forthcoming governorship election billed for next year 2024.

While observing that Edo State has suffered for so long due to leadership malfeasance, the group noted the state of deplorable roads in the state and begging for prompt attention.

The schools in the district, according to the group lacked adequate teaching staff, while the hospitals are just mere consulting clinics. Youth unemployment is also very disturbing.

“To address this social dissatisfaction, it was good someone with track records of excellent service coupled with a heart of humanity is supported to lead us to our cherished Eldorado,” the group said.

According to Group of the Chairman Mr. Timothy Okonofua, having carefully looked at Mr. Martins Azekhumhen Okoukoni antecedents of hard work and genuine commitment to the course of less privileged and down trodden in the society, they came to the inevitable conclusion that ‘he who the cap fits should wear it, hence they were throwing their weight behind his aspiration.

The Chairman called on all their members and Esan indigenes of goodwill to work towards ensuring that Mr. Martins Okoukoni’s aspiration sees the light of the day.

The group according to the Chairman is nonpartisan. They are aware that Mr. Okoukoni is aspiring under the Labour party. But their concern is the person and not the party.

The Esan Nolika members’ cuts across Esan folks in the five local government areas that made up Edo Central Senatorial District of Edo State.
