Oredo Ward 12 Agog As Councillor Commission Streets Light Projects

Residents of Iyiemila Street, Isiruehe Street, First Ewaise Line (NEPA Street) and Isekpoki Street, all in Ward 12 of Oredo local government area of Edo State were in joyous mood as the Councillor representing Ward 12 at the legislative arm of Oredo Local Government Area Council, Hon. Elton Etinosa Eruotor commissioned street lights project in their areas.

Recall Hon. Elton immediately he resumed office as councillor, rolled his drum by providing and commissioned street lights in Iwegie Street, Off Foresty/Akpakpaba, Iyekemosa Street, Isiwe Street and Omo Street and also empowered pupils of Agbado Primary School and Emokpae Primary School with over 300 notebooks, pencils and other writing materials.

Speaking to The9JaTREND, Councillor Elton said that in as much as he continue to represents the good people of Ward  12 in the council, he would ensure that they will never lack in terms of providing the dividend derivable from democracy to their doorstep.

According to him, “It is my prerogative and I am happy in return given out the dividend of democracy to the good people of Ward 12 whom in their large number came out during my election and voted me into power to represent them at the legislative arm of the council.

“My desire is to light up all the adjoining streets, lane in Ward 12 before he would leave office. But there is always complain from business owners in Iyiemila Street, Isiruehe Street, First Ewaise Line (NEPA Street) and Isekpoki Street that whenever they came back to business every day, hoodlums always took the advantage of non-availability of street lights loot goods in their stores and warehouse.

“How do you expect a business owner who had borrowed money to purchase goods and stocked their warehouse or store coming back in the morning and find out that their goods has been looted my hoodlums?  This is wicked and we would not allow this continue in Ward 12, hence my decision to quickly erect street lights in this areas, because when there is light, it would help the security and thereby prevent hoodlums from continue carrying out the wicked activities.

“My praying is that, before I disengage from office, I would have light up all the streets in my ward and also provide other projects derivable from the dividends of democracy.”

In a joyous mood, some residents including the Odionwere of Iyiemila Street who spoke to The9JaTREND pour encomium on Hon. Elton Etinosa Eruotor, for his philanthropic disposition and also by lighting up their streets and pray to God for continue to guide, preserve and provide for him to fulfill all his electioneering campaign promise.

According to the Odionwere who spoke in Benin dialect said, “These street lights will sure add development of this area, our businesses is coming back to life, we are happy for this development brought in to our area by Hon. Elton. My prayer is that whatever he seek for, God Almighty will surely grand him, he will not be derail in the activities of the local government council. Edo State will be better for you, Up up we will go in Jesus name – Amen.”
