Curtis Ugbo Not Our Member, Not A Governorship Aspirant In LP – Ogbaloi
By Simeon OSAJIE
The Edo State Chapter of Labour Party, (LP) has reacted to a publication trending on major social media platforms where Curtis Ugbo was casting aspersions to the highly esteemed State Chairmen across the 36 states of the federation who came to show solidarity with the National Chairman of the party, Barr Julius Abure.
In a press statement issued and signed by Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi, State chairman of the party and made available to newsmen said Curtis Ugbo is not a member of Labour Party and therefore an impostor who lacks the locus to comprehend and address matter under the reference he made for which he has no adequate understanding.
The Statement reads, “The attention of Edo state chapter of Labour Party has been drawn to a baseless, malicious and unfounded vituperations by one Curtis Ugbo which is trending on major social media platforms.
“Ordinarily, one would not have bother joining issues with the writer of the fictitious conjectures of an individual who is incapable of coping with frustrating situations as a result of failures in his bid to achieve some of his aspirations, but for the unsuspecting reading public that he tries to feed with lies that are direct imports of his frustrating feats, it behooves us as a responsible political party to put the issues at its proper perspective so as to guide the public and our members and teeming supporters whom we hold at very high esteem.
“Were I to descend to his preferred level of filth, we would have long engaged him on his incessant outburst that is incoherently irreconcilable with any known and acceptable empirical standards of decency.
“Let me start by saying that the said Curtis Ugbo is not a member of Labour Party and therefore an impostor who lacks the locus to comprehend and address matter under the reference he made for which he has no adequate understanding.
“Casting aspersions to the highly esteemed state Chairmen across the 36 states of the federation who came to show solidarity with our principled national chairman, Barr Julius Abure with the sole aim of tarnishing the moral pedestal of the labour party officials was clearly an exercise in futility that was poorly stage managed by one who do not fully have a clear understanding of the dynamics, of party politics.
“The 36 states Chairmen of our party he laboured futilely to denigrate with figments of his imaginations and concocted fabrications lacking in merit and objectivity, are highly placed individuals in the society who have carefully distilled the issues at their various states levels to arrive at a verdict of acquittal from any wrong done by our national chairman and consequently came out publicly to take a position of solidarity with the chairman, Barr Abure.”
Going further, Comrade Ogbaloi added: “It is therefore laughable for the said Curtis Ugbo to make a burlesque of himself with a view to whip up unnecessary and undesirable sentiments.
“Known for not being able to state issues in their right perspective when it matter most but find easy ways out by standing truth on its head, he further went to assert that the so called malicious statement emanated from “integrity support group”. I want to clarify here again that labour party has no such group on our list as registered support group but a mere fabrications from his well-equipped armoury of falsehoods.
“Let it be said here and again for the avoidance of doubt that Curtis is never a governorship aspirant under Labour Party as he would want to mislead the unsuspecting public to erroneously believe. Yes, labour party is a party for all Nigerians irrespective of class or tribe or religion but for noble and honest ones, not for dishonest and dubious people.
“Ugbo as a chief in the revered kingdom of Benin should therefore be tutored to always learn to exercise Royal restraints in his public outburst in order that de- reputation of his title could be avoided.”
