EDO 2024: Stephen Osemwegie Declares Interest To Contest Edo State Governorship Election

An international Real Estate professional and a frontline governorship aspirant, Stephen Osemwengie has made known his intention to contest the Edo State 2024 gubernatorial election.
Osemwegie made the declaration at the Edo State Labour Party (LP) Secretariat, during his visit to leadership of the party.
Stephen Osemwengie, family, friends and supporters converged on the political office of the aspirant to strategize before leaving for the Labour Party Secretariat.
The governorship aspirant led the mammoth crowd on a road show from Igun, through Sokponba Road to Ogbelaka Street where the party secretariat is located. He was received by the Labour Party chairman, Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi and other executive members.
The International Real Estate professional said he was in the secretariat to make know his intention to vie for the governorship position using its platform.
“I Stephen Osemwengie and my great supporters are here at the secretariat of the Labour Party, only party for the masses to make known my intention to contest the forthcoming governorship election slated for next years (2024).
“I believed that Labour Party is the only party for Mama, Papa and Pikin; the only party that can ameliorate the suffering of the masses,” he said.
Responding, the Edo State Labour Party (LP) Chairman, Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi said they have taken notice if his ambition and advised him to work hard.
“We, the leaders of Labour Party here in Edo State had taken notice of your ambition. I would advised you to work hard as the party will follow due process in selecting its candidate given all aspirant level playing ground,” he assured.
The Edo State governorship election is scheduled to hold next year.
