…Appreciate Oba Ewuare II for resolving  Odionwere tussle

The people of Igue-Osagie Village in Uhunmwonde local Government Council Area of Edo State have installed Pa. Evbaru Edionwe as Odionwere (native administrative Head) after 12 years of interegnum.

The official installation which was held at the village Oguedion  attracted a large crowd of indigenes  and their friends as the village wore a festive mood to open a new chapter in the history book of the people.

At the Oguedion where the ranking elders were gathered, Pa. Edionwe was taken through the traditional rites of installation before the ancestral sanctuary; after the Benin Monarch HRM Oba Ewuare II had earlier given his approval.

Thereafter, he offered prayers to God through their ancestors for good health, rapid growth, development and peace to reign in Igueosagie.

Also praying for unity of purpose during his regime, the new Odionwere appeals for the cooperation and unwavering support of his people.

Speaking to journalists at the event, the Ozukpogieva, Pa Simon Omozeghian said they were overwhelmed with joy that after a long walk, peace has been restored back to the village with the installation of the Odionwere made possible by the approval of HRM Oba Ewuare II CFR.

As secretary to Igue-Osagie Village, Osadolor Sunday expressed joy that after long years of leadership vacuum, with the approval of HRM Oba Ewuare II, Odionwere has been installed for the people adding that they now have a leadership the people can trust and look up to for direction.

In the same vein, Hon. Jerrylove Omoregiuwa expressed gratitude to everyone who helped in resolving all the issues that have been hindrance to having a substantive Odionwere in Igue-Osagie especially HRM Oba Ewuare II.

“We want to thank His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II CFR for resolving the Odionwere issue in Igue-Osagie and all those who helped us to resolve our crisis, today, we are celebrating as one family, no more crisis, peace has been restored in this community.”

In his remarks , Osakpomwan Omoragbon, the Okaighele of Igue-Osagie also thank God, the Oba, Ewuare II and everyone who helped to make the day come true, saying it was a new dawn of hope for better days and prosperity.

The highly elated people giving all the glory to God, appreciated everyone who helped make the day possible particularly the Benin Monarch HRM Oba Ewuare II CFR.
