…Says she raised her children to pinnacle of their career, and lived a fulfilled life

The Esan North-East/Esan South-East House of Representatives candidate in the forthcoming  2023 National Assembly election, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sir Prince Lewis Osobase has consoled with the family of Elder David Alenkhe of Okhuesan Community in Esan South-East local government area of Edo State over the death of their Matriarch,  Mrs. Rose Akuogbe Alenkhe who passed on onto glory after a brief illness.

In a press statement issued and signed by Prince Lewis Osobase made available to newsmen, stated that the death of the mother of the Edo State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Festus Alenkhe came to him like a thunderbolt.

According to Lewis Osobase, “I want to commiserate with the Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council and the Producer/Presenter of the popular TV programme, “Crime Watch” on the Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS), Comrade Festus Alenkhe.

“Mama passed on onto glory at the age of 76 at the time she was needed most to serve as a stabilizing force to her dear son, who, within a short time of emerging as the Chairman Of Edo State Council Of Nigerian Union Of Journalists, transformed both the administration and physical looks of the Union Press Centre and gave the journalism profession a vista of hope.

“At  76, Mama lived a fulfilled life by raising her children and watching them get to the pinnacle of their career like our celebrated Festus Alenkhe.

“I wish to admonished Festus and his siblings to take solace in the fact that death was inevitable to all mankind, no matter how good or indispensable,” he stated.

Drawing inference from the Bible, the Prince from Ewohimi maintained that, as a follower of Christ, he believes in the biblical allusion which stated that “there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

The PDP  House of Representatives hopeful noted that until her demise, Mama Rose Alenkhe was a notable daughter of Esan South-East Local Government area  whose humane contributions to community building was exemplary especially in Okhuessn where her husband, Elder David Alenkhe hails from.

“May God Almighty strengthen and grant the ALENKHES the fortitude to bear this irreparable lost in Jesus Name,” he concluded.
