How Comr. Kelly Ogbaloi Groomed, Sustain Edo Labour Party Over The Years

Surviving many infamous years in the political history of Nigeria, Labour Party’s fame and popularity has spring up and no doubt has trippled with majority of Nigerians aligning with the party due to its ideology coupled with the personality of its Presidential Candidate, HE. Peter Greggory Obi.

This popularity spread like a wild fire across the Federation which led to the party winning the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the last General Election with majority of its supporters in the South-South and in Edo, mostly confident that victory would come at the end of many litigations at the Tribunal.

In all of these fame, Edo Labour Party led by Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi has worked tirelessly to make the party appealing to Edo People to the point that it has become the most “sought after” bride in town.

Comrade Kelly with his team of Executive tenaciously held on to contributing their selfless services to the party and its members. Despite the burden of leadership which has posed series of challenges of trying to carry everyone along, the party has remain strong and undivided.

Realizing the damage of loosing the trust of the people in the just concluded election, opposition parties in order to damage the fame of Labour Party have started sponsoring run away members of the party who jetted out of the party when the road was rough. These Judas Iscariots have started collecting money from opposition parties with the pledge to dislodge and destabilize the integrity of the party before the people.

Ahead of the Edo Local Government and Governorship Elections, these political jobbers have started alleging corruption claims against the leadership of the party, which means, “give the dog a bad name in other to hang it”, this is a strategy they have employed, believing it will de-market the party before Edo People.

It saddens ones heart to watch the situation when some group led by one Isaiah Osifo claiming to be the State faction of Lamidi Apapa in Edo State is accusing the State Leadership of the party just to paint the party in a bad light before the people.

These self centred politicians with no shame have now settled to distract the leadership of the party with their alleged claims as a means to destabilize the party’s goal of winning some local government council areas in the upcoming local government election in Edo State.

With the table turned within the political arena and the people willing to vote Candidates of Labour Party in the Local Government election after seeing the desperation of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the past general elections.

In view of this, instead of allowing the party to settle down and strategize and use available measures to win the election, the alleged faction have allegedly gone ahead to collect huge sum of cash, planning to outrun the present State Executive in their secretariat.

Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi and his team remain the authentic Leadership that Edo people knows and should not give in to the seeming intimidations and threats of those who do not have the best interest of the people at heart but are only interested in starching their bank accounts by playing the spoiler role.

Loosing focus at this time will be undoing Edo people, the leadership of Labour Party must ensure that they field candidates with proven character and leadership track record to bring good governance to their local government and the State in general because the greedy politicians who did not have the people at heart have already stationed in the supposedly big parties to fly the party flags in the upcoming Local Government Election.

On their part, Edo people must not key into the lies of these traducers who are bent on destroying the name of Labour Party for their selfish benefits in place of the general wellbeing of the people.

Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi and his team are MEN OF INTEGRITY who are ready to contribute more to the glory of the party and ensure its integrity is sustained beyond their administration.
