As part of her constituency projects and bringing the dividends of democracy to the doorstep of her constituents, the Deputy Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Barr. Maria Edekor yesterday 4th June 2024, performed a foundation laying ceremony for the perimeter fencing of Ebhoiyi Demonstration Primary School and Idumu-Egelean Primary School in Esan North-East Constituency II.

In her speech during the ceremony, Deputy Speaker Edekor commended her constituents for their supports during and after the last House of Assembly election in the state, noting that, the overwhelming supports she keeps enjoying is priceless.

Barr. Edekor reiterated her total commitment towards constituency development as she promised to always pay adequate attention to the needs and aspirations of his constituents.

While performing the foundation laying for the perimeter fencing of the two primary schools, Hon. Edekor hinted emphatically on the need to keep the school environments safe and secured for children to learn, noting that the fencing will help prevents cows and other intruders from gaining access to the school premises.

The Deputy Speaker who highlighted some of her contributions in her constituency in particular and the local government in general, reassure her constituents and the good people of the entire local government of more constituency projects across the various wards of the local government.

During the event, Hon. Maria Edekor rallied supports for the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Asue Ighodalo and Barr. Osarodion Ogie urging everyone to support and vote for the duo as candidates of the party in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

She emphasized on the need for PDP to retain power come September 21st, stating that, for her and other elected members under the umbrella of Peoples Democratic Party to continue to build on the successes recorded so far, all hands must be on deck to massively vote PDP in the coming gubernatorial election.

The event was attended by Bishop Anthony Okosun, Edo Central PDP Senatorial Chairman, Hon. Kelly Inedegbor, Esan North East Council Chairman, Hon. Patrick Iluobe, amongst others.
