The Vision Bearer of Family Prayer Intercessory Ministries and Chairperson of Edo State Chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN). Evangelist (Mrs.) Margaret Agbonifo has asked Nigerians not to weep over the demise of her beloved husband, Pastor Edward Agbonifo whose death occurred on Tuesday September 7, 2021.
Evangelist Agbonifo, also known as ‘Iyemonhia’ (everyone’s mother), declared that her husband has only changed his location on earth to eternal glory, adding that she appreciate the tributes from different part of the world over the misfortune that has befall on her family.
The Edo State PFN Chairperson urged believers in Christ to serve God in sincerity in order to reap the benefits derivable from it.
In a short message released on her Facebook at the weekend, the widow said, “My husband served God. His death is just a change of location from earth to eternal glory.
“I am strong. My husband has finished his work and has gone to be with God Almighty.”
According to Evang. Agbonifo, “Death is turn by turn, it is not my fault, it is my turn. So, whatever you are doing now, remember that it will get to your turn one day.”
Earlier, the Eldest of the deceased, Pastor Enoch Agbonifo, has announced the demise of his father, Pastor Edward Agbonifo, Co-founder, Family Intercessors Prayer Ministries Incorporated on behalf of his family on Tuesday September 7, 2021.
According to the statement, which referenced the Bible of Romance Chapter 14 verse 8, “For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s”, the funeral arrangements will be announced by the family.
Part of the statement reads: “It is with a joyful heart we announce the departure of our beloved Father and Pastor “Pastor Dr. Edward Odaro Agbonifo” who went to be with the Lord on the 7th of September 2021″.
“Our anchor remains Jesus Christ in whom we have the assurance that we will one day meet in a better place to part no more”.
Evangelist Agbonifo was decorated as the Chairperson of PFN, Edo State Chapter in November 2020, with funfair.
The widow, Evangelist (Mrs.) Agbonifo, brushed aside the trauma to also attend the 87th Birthday Celebration of Chief Gabriel Igbinedion at the weekend in Benin City, Edo State Capital.
Recall that the Octogenarian had announced the donation of 10 mega churches worth N100 million as part of public service to mark his 77th Birthday when he claimed to have received the call of God
