Edo State Police Command has confirmed the kidnapped of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO)
Ibrahim Aliyu Ishaq of Fugar in Etsako West local government area Edo State Command.

In a press statement issued and signed by the Edo State Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Kontongs Bello, said “DPO Fugar Division of Edo State Police Command CSO Ibrahim Ishaq was kidnapped on 26/ 11/ 2021 at about 1820HRS.

“The DPO was enroute Aghenebode in a private vehicle with his Orderly, one Sgt Aliu who were both on mufty, they were accosted at Ekwuosor by hoodlums suspected to be kidnappers. The armed men suddenly emerged from the bush and opened fire on their private vehicle forcing them to stop. They however whisked CSP IBRAHIM ISHAQ into the bush while the orderly managed to escaped.

“To this end, the Commissioner of Police Edo State Police Command CP PHILIP ALIYU OGBADU PSC (+) has enjoined the general public to remain calm and go about their lawful business as the command is on top of the situation,” he opined.

Meanwhile, It was gathered by The9jaTREND that the abductors on Saturday (27/11/22) has contacted the family demanding for N50m ransom to release the DPO.

DPO Ibrahim Aliyu Ishaq, before his deployment to Edo State was a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Kano State.
