Speaker Onobun Bags Edo State PDP Social Media Team Award

Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun (ksc) has received an Award as State Legislator of the Year from Edo State PDP Social Media Team in his office.
The speaker while describing PDP as a big family said it should be accomodating to all irrespective of when they joined the party, and as such, there will be bickerings, as family members issues should be settled amicably.
He described the party as a vehicle to convey all to their destination, which is victory at elections.
R. Hon. Onobun said the opposition party in the state was dwindling daily as they left enmasse and have no plans to return , stressing that those fanning embers of discord should desist so as to give the party the needed unity to win all positions in the state in the 2023 general elections.
He said total victory in the next general elections should be the bigger goal for all PDP members as a house divided against itself cannot stand.
Rt. Hon. Onobun thereafter called on all members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to shun in-fighting, divisiveness and all forms of in-house opposition to join hands towards achieving victory during the forthcoming general elections.
While commending the team for finding him Worthy of the award, he charged them to ensure all their stories undergo scrutiny before publishing and use their reports to preach peace within the party.
This he said will help restore sanity to the party and urged them to also reach out to the leaders of thought in the party towards closing ranks for victory next year.
Earlier, leader of the PDP social media team Engr Mike Enahoro described the group as influencers of PDP members on social media with members across the state.
Engr Enahoro said the team decided to award outstanding party members to challenge them to do More.
He explained that the awards were Divided into six categories of which the Speaker was unanimously chosen in the category of state legislator of the year.
This he said is in view of the speaker’s leadership, management and coordination style.
The team leader explained that the team will not relent in their efforts to broker peace, which is one of their activities.
Highpoint of the visit was the formal presentation of the award to the speaker who was joined to receive the team by the Cheif of staff to the speaker Hon Blessing Agbebaku.
