Former chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Edo State chapter and former speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elizabeth Ativie  has resigned her membership from the All Progressive Party (APC), Edo State chapter.

Ativie was an APC aspirant for Uhunmwonde/Orhionmwon Federal Constituency in the forthcoming 2023 elections.

In a press briefing at the secretariat of the Edo State council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Hon. Ativie said her reason for the resignation is attributed to the current unresolved crises rocking the All Progressives Party (APC) in Uhunmwonde, Orhionmwon and entire APC party in Edo State.

Part of the statement reads, “The State Chairman, All Progressive Party (APC), Edo State Chapter. “ LETTER OF RESIGNATION”. This letter is to convey to you that I have officially resigned from the All Progressive Party with immediate effect.

“The reason for my resignation is attributed to the current unresolved crises facing the All Progressives Party (APC) in Uhunmwonde, Orhionmwon and entire APC party in Edo State.”

“Please accept the assurances of my highest regards.”
