Obaseki Cheers Abiodun’s Contributions To Science, Research, Innovation

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has commended the excellent and outstanding contributions of Prof. Abiodun Falodun, the Rector of Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, to the science, research and innovation on the African Continent that metamorphose his election victory to the African Academy of Sciences (AAS) Fellowship.
According to Mr. Obaseki, “I heartily congratulate you, Professor Abiodun Falodun, on your election to the African Academy of Sciences Fellowship, in recognition of your excellent and outstanding contributions to the advancement of science, research and innovation on the African continent.
“Your election after a rigorous evaluation process by the AAS Membership Advisory Committee (MAC) and final endorsement by the body’s Governing Council is a testament to your exceptional brilliance and accomplishments in the field of science, which is worthy of emulation.
“A shining light of our state, you have, through your works, continued to distinguish yourself in the academic world, proffering solutions to societal problems and making an indelible impact in the lives of many across the globe.
“I am confident that you will bring your experience and network to bear in advancing the objectives and interest of the African Academy of Sciences and deepen the impact of the body on the continent, Nigeria and our dear Edo State.”
The governor further commended the rector for complementing the government’s efforts at repositioning the Edo State Polytechnic to deliver excellence in learning and science research, adding that, “Today, under your watch, the Edo State Polytechnic has witnessed a massive increase in student population with the introduction of innovative programmes, research output, and improvement in the work environment, a feat that has been recognised by relevant stakeholders in the education sector, including world ranking bodies.”
