Abure, while addressing party faithfuls in an event held in Benin City to appreciate leadership of the party and various support groups and every member that made the rally a success, said that the 16 years and 8 years of PDP and APC governments brought total hardship to Nigerians and should not be given any further opportunity to preside over the affairs of Nigeria.

According to Abure, “those our enemies who benefited from our struggle for the enthronement of democracy and the rule of law where the ones bent on truncating our planned rally in Benin City on the 11th of November

“We applied for the use of the Samuel Ogbemudian Stadium for the rally, they denied us, and they went ahead and planned to block us from having any venue for the rally. They denied us the use of the Museum ground, we went to the UBTH ground and they went behind and blocked the chances. We went to the UNIBEN Sports ground, the enemies went behind and blocked us.”

Going further, the LP national chairman added, “I must therefore appreciate the management of Baptist Convention for availing us the use of their halls and the ground for the rally which turned out to be the best so far in Nigeria.

“It was only instructive to discard a bad product that was initially purchased to be used but found not to be good.

“APC and the PDP are like purchased bad products that must be thrown away outrightly since they have become valueless.

“The PDP and the APC are the reason why there is so much hunger, insecurity and unemployment in the land, therefore like bad products,we must throw them out and enthrone the best alternative which is the Labour Party with its flag bearer, Mr Peter Obi and Datti.”

He thanked the party leadership, the various support groups and every member of the party for making the rally a success which he pleaded with them to translate to victory come 2023.

In an interview with newsmen, Edo State chairman of the party, Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi, said that the refusal to approve the use of public facility because of Party differences was unacceptable.

“We have been so reduced to a level of refusing citizens of the use of public facility built with the tax payers money. We have therefore decided to double up our efforts to work harder to ensure we deliver on what we desire to do in government when we come in 2023,” he said.
