Ogbaloi Tasks Edo LP Campaign Council Committees On Winning 2023 Elections

Ahead of the 2023 general election slated for February 25th, the Edo State Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi has urged members of the State Campaign Council Committees of the party to work proactively and assiduously with a view to, not just only winning the election, which is very obvious, but with a landslide.
Ogbaloi stated this during the inauguration of the state Campaign Council Committees today Friday, 13th January, at the party secretariat, Benin City, the Edo State capital.
Comrade Ogbaloi who is the chairman of the 10-Man Action Committee, stated terms of reference of the committees as headed by the chairman. He opined that all committee chairmen are to report the day-to-day activities of their committee to the 10-Man Action Committee for onward transmission to the national secretariat of the party.”
He admonished members of the committees to work with their chairman so as to ensure victory for the party during the general elections.
Disclosing further the functions of the various committee, Ogbaloi said: “The Finance Committee is headed by Engr. Ralph Obasogie and its terms of reference is to help raise funds to persecute the election, while the Religious Committee is to make contact with all religious bodies and mobilize them to support LP in the election.
“Campaign/Timetabie committee: This is led by Prof Patrick Igbinaduwa, its terms of reference are to plan and draw up campaign timetable for the election, while Diaspora Committee is to liaise with Edo indigenes in diaspora to support Edo LP to victory.
“Media/Publicity Committee: This is headed by the State Publicity Secretary. Its core mandate is to take charge of ail publications and media works, prints and electronics, etc., while the Support Groups Committee is to liaise with ail support groups and coordinate their members to work for Labour Party.”
Going further, the State Chairman, said, “Women Mobilisation is headed by the State Woman Leader, it is to mobilize all women organization in the state to work for Labour Party, while Legal & intelligence Committee is under the legal advisory of the party. lt is to guide the party and the activities within the ambit of the law.
“Logistics Committee: This committee Is to take Care Of ai] logistics arrangement in campaign, e.g transportation and movement Of people, while ICT Situation Room is to work and collect information from the field and also know how the election is going in different parts of the state, working with the data gathered from our men on ground.
“Youth Mobilization: The committee is to work and sen sitize youths of the state for LP victory, while Security Committee is to work with the various security agencies in the state to ensure safety of LP members throughout the campaign and the election,”
The Strategic Committee he said, “is to work to identify specific issues within the campaign and address them as the need arises. The committee is to recommend best approaches to be adopted by the party, while the Medical Committee is to take care of medical issues of party members, within the campaign period and elections.
“Follow-up Committee: This committee is to go door to door to make a follow up of party members and encourage them not to Jose faith in the Obidient movement, while Mobilization and Canvassing Committee is to mobilize and sensitize members across the states for victory.
“The Welfare and Entertainment Committee, the state chairman said is to ensure members welfare and adequate entertainment.”
Comrade Ogbaloi also used the inauguration of the campaign council committees to x-ray the current happenings as regards the PVC distribution exercise across the various wards and seriously frown at the way and manner the PDP and APC have sponsored their thugs to unleash mayhem, cause disruption and stampede.
“As a party set to deliver Nigeria from the evil grip of APC and PDP, we are not going to lose focus on our rescue mission. Nigerians have suffered enough in the hands of these two parties, our economy is in shambles and security of lives and property is totally zero.
“We want to use this medium to appeal to well-meaning Nigerians, the security agencies, all Edolites and the genera| public to please call the Edo State PDP to order,” he said.
