Unabated Attack: Family Cries Out Over Destruction Of Son’s Properties

Aftermath of the February 25 general elections, the family of Osahon Uwoghiren, Youth Mobilizer of the Edo State Chapter of Labour Party (LP) have cried out over the unprovoked, destruction and vandalization of their sons properties by the thugs of  the ruling  All Progressives Congress (APC) and opposition party the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oredo local government areas of Edo State.

According to a member of the family who pleaded anonymity while narrating the unabated attack on him and other members of the party across the state  said the recent attack was mostly targeted at Osahon Uwoghiren, the Labour Party Youth Mobilizer who fortunately at that particular period was far away in France attending an Agricultural Conference.

He further said immediately the results were announced by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the thugs went after those they perceived made them to loss the elections to Labour Party in the State, moving from one house to the other where those loyal and worked for the success of Labour Party  sustained various degree of injuries.

The LP youth mobilizer’s house was not spared as he was known to be a very strong supporter of Labour Party that earned him the position of Edo State LP Youth Mobilizer, ransacked and destroyed his house while his wife was very fortunate to have escaped, his poultry farm which include goat and sheep were not spared as it was destroyed and also the animals killed while others strolled away.

The source further disclosed that the family of the said Osahon Uwoghiren is in grief over the destruction of their son’s properties as that was his only source of livelihood and threatening to kill him anywhere he is seen within the country. His wife has also gone into hiding as her whereabouts since the attacked is unknown to the family.

Meanwhile attempt by reporters to unearth the true position of the attack led to other revelations coming up that the said Mr. Osahon Uwoghiren was also a bi-sexual as the nude photos and sex tapes of him and his partner in abominable act surfaced proving that he is a bi-sexual as he was also known to have a wife and a daughter.

On probing further, family spokesmen who simply introduce himself as the culprit’s nephew confirmed the case of homosexuality against Osahon their son before this issues of elections and subsequent attack on his properties came up. The people in that area however are not taking it lightly as they have never experienced such an abominable act, adding that even the Odionwere, chiefs and the chief priest of the deities in the area were not happy as the abominable act will bring untold repercussions if the needful is not done immediately.

He further noted that the family is in disarray as they do not know how to get the issues resolved; even the wife’s whereabouts is unknown to them since she was chased out from the husband’s house.

When contacted the Police Public Relation Officer of Edo State Police Command, Chidi Nwabuzor  said he cannot comment on the issues as investigation is ongoing.

It will be recalled that the Federal Government passed an Anti-gay Law that any person or group of persons caught in the act of homosexuality, lesbianism, bi-sexual, gay, transgender and intersex or participate in any of these will attract 10 -14 years’ imprisonment.
