A frontline Edo 2024 governorship aspirant Mr. Martins Okoukoni  has described the death of Chief William Oniha, the Oniha of Uromi Kingdom, as a great loss to the great people of the Kingdom, Esan North-East local government area in general and Edo State at large.

In a condolences message issued and signed by Mr. Martins Okoukoni and made available to newsmen opined late Chief William Oniha was a dedicated Uromi Kingdom Chief who was very passionate on preserving rich cultural heritage of the kingdom.

Okoukoni who noted that Chief Oniha has left an indelible mark in the Uromi Kingdom was an exceptional leader, whose contributions to the growth of Uromi people both within and out the country was a caring father not only to his biolological children but also to those that came in contact with him.

The statement read in part: “On behalf of myself and the teeming supporter of Martins Okoukoni Campaign Organisation, I humbly extend our sincerest condolences on the passing of Chief William Oniha of Uromi Kingdon.

“I extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire Family of Chief Oliha of Uromi Kingdom and the people of the Kingdom and all those who had the privilege of knowing and came in contact with Chief William Oniha. May the memories of his noble conducts and his legacy of generosity bring consolation and strength during this hard time.

“I called on every Esan North-East local government area in particular and Agbazilo in general to come together to honor Chief William Oniha’s memory and continue his mission of promoting unity and progress across the local government.
