Imansuangbon Urges FG To Fix Federal Roads In Edo
By Simeon OSAJIE
A frontline 2024 governorship aspirant of the Labour Party (LP) in Edo State, Barr. Kenneth Imansuangbon, has lambasted the federal government for its inability to fix federal roads in the state.
Imansuangbon said it was laughable that the Benin-Auchi-Okenne road was still a death trap eight years after the All Progressives Congress came to power in the country.
He said all federal roads in Edo State, just like the Benin-Auchi-Okenne highway, were deathtraps and unpassable.
Popularly known as the Rice man, Barr. Kenneth Imansuangbon, in a statement issued in Benin City, called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to begin probes into the huge funds deployed to fix the Benin-Auchi-Okenne highway.
Barr. Imansuangbon, however, urged Edo people to intensify prayers so that there would be an end to what he called. “Clueless Party” in power.
He said the Labour Party has been destined to be in power in Edo State in 2024.
According to him, “We have seen the pains of Edo people go through plying these Federal roads. Benin to Warri no road, Benin to Abraka, no road, Benin to Okenne, no road, Benin to Akure, bad; Benin to Lagos, Ovia head Bridge is bad.
“I join millions of Nigerians to urge the APC government to fix the roads. Our people cannot continue to suffer.
“There is, however, hope for Nigerians and Edo residents in particular. A party that will bring good things rather than sufferings will come in to Edo in 2024.”
