International Women’s Day: Edo HeForShe Movement Commemorates Women Worldwide

The Edo State chapter of HeForShe Movement, (UN Women Solidarity Movement for Gender Equality) has commemorated with women worldwide on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
In a goodwill message issued by the Comrade Ehis Agugu, Focal Person, UN #HeForShe Movement, Edo State chapter and made available to newsmen, stated that the remarkable achievements and contributions of women from every corner of the world have continually been breaking barriers, shattering the glass ceiling and emerging as leaders with exceptional resilience, compassion and strength. This he said has continue to inspire us all.
The message reads in part: “GOODWILL MESSAGE
“On this occasion of International Women’s Day, we commemorate the remarkable achievements and contributions of women from every corner of the world. Women have continually been breaking barriers, shattering the glass ceiling and emerging as leaders with exceptional resilience, compassion, and strength. Their achievements continue to inspire us all.
“This auspicious day calls us to reflect upon the progress we have made towards achieving gender equality and further commit ourselves to empowering women in all spheres of life. We must strive to create a more inclusive and equitable world where all individuals can flourish and realise their full potential.
“We extend our sincere gratitude to all the women out there for their unwavering dedication, courage, and resilience. Your contributions are immeasurable, and we honour you today and every day.
