Deputy Speaker Edeko expresses Sadness Over Kidnap Of Edo PDP chairman, Aziegbemi

Edo State House of Assembly Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon.  (Mrs) Maria Omozele Oligbi-Edeko Esq, has expressed great sadness over the kidnap of the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Tony Aziegbemi on Friday night in Benin City.

In a statement, Deputy Speaker Oligbi-Edeko condemned the act in strong terms and described the incident as unfortunate.

She appealed to the security agencies to gather intelligence report that could urgently facilitate the immediate release of our dear State PDP chairman.

She expressed worry over the growing insecurity in the country. “We thought we have gone past this stage. God be merciful.

“My prayers are with his family and party faithful at this trying time.

“I also pray for Almighty God’s intervention and for his safe return.”
