The Reliance Newspaper Celebrates 16 Years Of Unbroken Publication

A foremost community news tabloid ‘The RELIANCE Newspaper’, a based in Benin City, Edo State, is set to celebrate its 16th years of unbroken publication and presence in newsstands across major cities and towns in Edo and Delta States, respectively.
Activities lined up to celebrate the 16 years anniversary includes a public lecture with the theme, “Democracy In Africa: The Roles Of Moneybags In Nigeria’s Politics.” The lecture is to be delivered by Hon. Dr Isaiah Osifo, a prominent politician and a lecturer in one of the ivory towers in Edo State.
The event slated for Friday, April 12, 2024, by 12 noon at the Conference Hall of the Nigeria Union Of Journalists, (NUJ), Edo State Council, is to be chaired by Hon. (Barr) Pascal Ogbomeh and Bishop (Dr.) Osadolor Ochei, while fathers of the day would be Rev. Dr. Felix Omobude, the immediate past National President of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), and Etose Dickson Imasogie, a prominent politician in Edo State.
Addressing the press on the preparedness for the event, publisher of The RELIANCE Newspaper, Sir Comrade Raphael Okhiria and chairman of the planning committee, Comrade Edosa Okunbor, jointly called on members of the public to endeavour to attend the special event which is well packaged in line with the political activities for the Edo 2024 Governorship election.
They disclosed that some deserving Nigerians will be honoured with merit awards, during the one day 16th anniversary celebration of The RELIANCE Newspaper.
