The Edo State Deputy Governor, Marvellous Omobayo Godwins, while speaking on becoming the new Deputy Governor of the State after Comrade Philip Shaibu was impeached by the Edo State House of Assembly, expressed admiration for Barr. Asue Ighodalo in the political landscape of Edo State.
Marvellous was of the opinion that Asue Ighodalo is humble and has the style of the way he plays his own politics.
He made this statement during an interview with Channels Television, Politics Today programme. ‘I think he’s very humble and humility is key, he has the kind of style, the way I play my politics,” he remarked.
According to Godwins, “He campaigns like me. When you see Asue Ighodalo in the street of Benin City, if he sees five or six people eating or drinking, he will come down and start telling them why they must vote for him. He doesn’t need to cover wide areas.
“Asue Ighodalo, to my opinion is humble and humility is key. He has the kind of style, the way I play my politics”.
