May Day: Deputy Speaker Felicitates Edo Workers

The Deputy Speaker of Edo House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Mrs) Maria Oligbi-Edeko has extended her wishes to Nigerian workers, particularly Edo State workers on this year’s workers Day celebration.
In a statement signed by Deputy Speaker Oligbi-Edeko and made available to newsmen in Benin, she described Nigeria and Edo workers as the mainstay of the economy, adding that, without them, there could be no economic activity of any kind.
She stated that workers were the key drivers of development. Despite the challenges they face, they remained the most dedicated, committed and hardworking.
“I celebrate Edo workers for staying positive and committed as well as contributing to every efforts of the state government in ensuring that we Make Edo Great Again,” she said.
She promised that the State House of Assembly was committed to ensuring protection of workers’ rights and will support all efforts aimed at ensuring workers are adequately rewarded and well catered for.
