A group in the Labour Party,  ‘Mandate For Justice’ has commended the LP Aspirant Barrister Ken Imasuangbon for pursuing his case to restore the true reflection of the Labour Party members in Edo State.

The group Chairman  Dr. Owenaze Izegbuwa stated this in a press conference held in Benin City while reacting to the stand of the BYC which is agitating for all to support the LP candidate Olumide Osaigbovo Akpata and same time asking Barrister Ken Imasuagbon to jettison his judicial pursuits.

Dr.  Izegbuwa said while aligning themselves with the BYC submission of ensuring Labour Party wins the governorship election come September 21, 2024 however disagrees that the right choice was not made by the party who threw away caution to the wind to segregate a senatorial district which has been marginalised in the time past.

The group Chairman said the LP shot itself when against all odds decided to bring a candidate from Edo South when other parties like the PDP and APC were fighting hard to present a candidate from Edo Central because they knew the importance of the election with top political pundits like Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and Lucky Imasuen stepping down for an Esan candidate in APC.

He said yet the Labour party candidate was fighting tooth and nail to emerge to the detriment of the senatorial district that has been marginalised for so many years.

Dr. Izegbuwa said it was as a result of this that the group had a sigh of relief when they saw that Barrister Imasuangbon an Aspirant that was obviously rigged out of the primary and from Edo Central was on the threshold of regaining his mandate through the legal means.

He said they in the Mandate For Justice wholeheartedly support the cause as the group believes fully in equity, justice fairplay and the candidature from Edo Central.
