Ex PDP House Of Reps Candidate Defects To APC With Egor Legacy Wards Exco

Former House of Representatives aspirant under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Egor Federal Constituency, former Chairman of Egor Local Government Council and a chieftain of Egor PDP, Hon. Nosa Adams has defected to the All Progressives Party (APC) with all PDP Legacy Group Wards Exco in Egor, Edo South Senatorial District of the State.

While addressing the gathering at the party secretariat of APC on Ikpokpan Road, GRA., Benin City, Edo State capital Barr. Nosa Adams who said that though it is not time for any speech making, disclosed that they were joining the APC to give the party at least 20,000 votes from Egor to help defeat PDP and Labour Party candidates in the September 21, governorship election.

Adams who took time to call out each of the 10 Wards Exco of Legacy PDP, Egor chapter that came with him to defect to APC noted said, “During the last governorship election, PDP won the election with over 17,000 votes, and this time we will ensure we APC won the with at least 20,000 votes from Egor and after we have won, we will make speeches.”

Receiving the decampees to APC, former governor of Edo State and senator representing Edo North Senatorial District, Senator Adams Aliu Oshiomhole said Nosa Adams and himself worked together before with in the old ACN that coming together, APC victory is sure for the party in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

He said, “Together we will work to ensure APC defeat PDP and Labour Party, and of course APC will return to the governance of Edo State. Our next governor knows where to start, he doesn’t need touch light, he can see all things that has stopped, and he will reignite the engine of growth and development in this great state.

“I’m particularly excited the transparent manner in which my friend, my namesake, Adams meticulously identified each ward leader, youth leader, all the wards executives in each of the ward in Egor, he could have just park people and say these are all the decampees leaders across the wards. So, nobody is left. It is finish.

“So, I want to assure you, through you Adams, I want to assure those who have queue behind you to return to APC that you are not a stranger in the house, you not be, and you cannot be treated as a stranger because you are not one. You will bring on board your wealth of experience, you will bring on board your rugged, dogged digital determination to do what you have always be doing. The way you worked and we were defeated, now you will work to that we shall win.

Going further, Senator Oshiomhole added: “I want to use this opportunity to thank the great people of Egor, if I were to adopt another local government, I will adopt Egor as my local government, and I will tell you why.

“In 2012 governorship election, Egor people gave me 96% of the total votes cast, Egor people gave me much more than my local government gave me. So, no be who give you, you go follow? And by the special grace of God, those things that we did, and I know what they are, we made conscious efforts to de-flood Egor, now the floods are back, Akpakomiza, without grammar, without consultancy, he will re-dredge all those flooding areas in Egor.

“It is not an out of God that you don’t look forward to rain. By the special grace of God, Benin people will look forward to the raining reason with joy again, with Akpakomiza as the governor.

“I drove tractors to dredge so that water can flow, I didn’t use consultant, I drove tractors to Teachers’ House, I didn’t sign any document.

“Let me state – what we need today is a man who can do, not the man who can talk, if talking will change Nigeria, Nigeria would have been more than America. This man will spend the time doing instead of talking. If talking is require, we will talk, but this man knows what Edo people need now, is to do and he go do well,

“What is value for Egor is value for Oredo, Ikpoba Okha and across all other local governments that made up Edo State”.

Also speaking, the Chairman of Edo APC, Emperor Jaret Tenebe said, “Today I am very happy that the entire structure of PDP in Egor led by Barr. Nosa Adams have come to join us. My leader has made all the promises and I can only say yes, the promises will be done because APC is a party of opportunities, just the way the party gave me the opportunity that I can stand today and address you as the chairman of the party. That same opportunity will be extended to all of you that joined us today.”

He thereafter received all the decampees to the fold of APC in the state.

The governorship candidate of APC in the state, Senator Matthew Okpebholo said what he is seeing today is a miracle.

“What I am seeing here today is a miracle, amazing. I want to thank Nosa Adams, I want to thank all the people that are present here today, because a new Edo state is rising, Edo is witnessing a new era. Development is what we are after and that is what we are going to do. Edo is the place for all of us and so we must develop Edo, we have no other home than this city, Edo is our home and we will fix it.”
