MDCAN-UBTH, Edo NMA To Organise A Public Lecture On Mental Health Impact Of Election Campaign

The Medical and Dental Consultants’ Association of Nigeria (MDCAN), University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) Branch in collaboration with Nigeria Medical Association, Edo State chapter is set to organise the 2nd MDCAN-UBTH Public Lecture with the Theme: “The Mental Health Impact of Election Campaign: Coping With Victory and Defeat”.
This was disclosed in a press statement issued by the Chairman, MDCAN Committee on Public lecture series, Professor Clement Osime and made available by newsmen in Benin City, Edo State capital.
According to him, Speaker at the event is PROF. KINGSLEY O. AKHIGBE, MBBS, FWACP, Professor of Psychiatry & Consultant Mental Health Physician.
“Date of the event is Wednesday 3rd July, 2024 at Doctors’ House, Ugbowo – Benin City, Edo State and urged guests to be seated by 11.30am,” he said.
The MDCAN Committee Chairman, Prof. Clement Osime, a Professor of Surgery and Surgical Oncology, Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Notary Pubic, said the topic is very topical and urged friends, union leaders, opinion moulders, medical and civil politicians, all in leadership and indeed all men and women involved in one form of election or the other, to make out time to attend the event.
