The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Engr. Godwins Marvelous Omobayo, has described Liberty American Leadership Academy as a unique citadel of learning where children are trained for exemplary leadership, sound moral values, as ultimate principles of life.
The9JaREND reports that Engr. Omobayo stated this on Saturday, 27th July, 2024 during the official opening ceremony of Liberty American Leadership Academy located at Ogiesoba/Iyekekpolor Streets, Idumwowina Quarters, Benin/Lagos Road in Ovia North-East Local Government area of Edo State.
According to him, as a responsible government, the present administration under the focused leadership of Governor Godwin Obaseki since assumption of office in 2016, has invested huge resources in transforming the education sector as well as retraining of teaching staff.
The Deputy Governor, who was represented by the Director, office of the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Ganiyatu Uwaifo, stated that, education is everybody’s business while quality education, as being offered by your Academy, can only be provided by well-meaning individuals and organizations whose passion is to positively impact society and humanity.

He congratulated the proprietor, management and staff of the school for their outstanding achievement and being formidable.
Speaking earlier at the spectacularly organized event, the Proprietor of Liberty American Leadership Academy, Mr. Okefe Aigbe-Lebarty, who succeeded in articulating the motivated mission and vision of the school, said Lebarty American Leadership Academy was conceived to specifically add to the growing numbers of affordable and high class educational institutions in Edo State, for the benefit of children desirous of first class education comparable to the American standards.
According to him, “To our prospective students and parents, we are assuring you that your presence with us is just the beginning and a stepping stone in the future leaders skills in your child. As we embarked on this journey we are rendering you our core values, vision and mission in raising young leaders.”
He emphasized that by establishing the school in a village community, instead of Government Reservation Area or city, was deliberate so that not only the rich children will have access to good education, but to also give opportunity to the children of the poor to access it. It was for that reason we are giving back to the society.
He thanked the guests for joining the school in this grand making ceremony and wished them safe journey back to their respective places.
The ribbon cutting and official commissioning of the school was performed by Mrs. Ganiyatu Uwaifo who represented the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Engr. Godwins Marvelous Omobayo, while the occasion was chaired by a renowned educationalist cum administrator, Chief Henry Osato Bazuaye (JP), the Aiwerioghene of Benin Kingdom.
The highly electrified ceremony was graced by Dr. Osagie Obayuwana, a former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Edo State; Dr. Nosa Aigbe-Lebarty; Mr, Eubaldus Enahoro, Senior Special Assistance to Governor Godwin Obaseki, Edo State government officials; proprietors of private educational institutions in Edo State; Landlords/Ladies of Idumwowina Quarters; members of Aigbe-Lebarty family, friends and well-wishers.
The Lebarty American Leadership Academy, which is situated in a serene, accessible and conducive environment is located at Ogiesoba/Iyekekpolor Streets, Idumwowina Quarters, Benin/Lagos Road, Ovia North-East Local Government area of Edo State, currently admits pupils into foundational classes.
