Movement Congratulates Tony Ikpasaja As Member Of APC Transition Committee

The Akpakomiza-Denco Neighbour To Neighbour Campaign Movement has congratulated Dr. Tony Ikpasaja on his nomination as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Transition Committee by Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, Edo State Governor-Elect and the Leadership of Apc in the State.
This was contained in a congratulatory message issued on behalf of the Movement by the state Coordinator of the Movement, Hon. Barr. Vincent Ose Akhere made available to newsmen in Benin City, the state capital.
According to Barr. Akhere, “Dr. Tony Ikpasaja was completely and unflinchingly loyal to former Minister of Works and the Iyasele of Esanland, Chief Tony Anenih of blessed memory as his Press Secretary in his life time. We were together with Chief Tony Anenih and grew up under his tutelage. We both grabbed from his wealth of experience and political dexterity.
“Being a man of limited words and who is not given to publicity, much of his humanity is shielded from public knowledge. Undoubtedly, Dr. Tony Ikpasaja is one of the brightest and best journalists in our country.
“Nigeria has been blessed with his services over the last decade. Journalism in our country is a very tough profession for new intakes. But Dr. Ikpasaja was able to survive the odds and had a very impressive career at Vanguard and ThisDay newspapers. He contributed immensely to the growth of journalism in Nigeria as an editor with New Age Newspapers between 2003 and 2005. He also served meritoriously in the brief government of Prof. Oserhiemen Osumbor in 2007 as Social on Media and Communications.
“Dr. Ikpasaja’s mind is like a commanding searchlight illuminating in bold relief anything it is dedicated to. For this reason, he earned the respect of many. He is a consummate go-getter. Those who have been fortunate to relate with him have confirmed that he is one of the most accessible, humble and kindhearted persons they have encountered.
“I am full of gratitude for our Governor-Elect who has demonstrated by his appointment that hard work actually pays.
