Edo Attorney-General, Samson Osagie – A Round Peg In A Round Hole, Says Barr. Vincent Akhere

Ex-Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism, Edo State, Barr. Vincent Ose Akhere has described the appointment of Barr. (Dr) Samson Osagie, former Minority Whip of the Federal House of Representatives at the National Assembly as Edo State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice by the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo as a round peg in a round hole.
This was contained in a congratulatory message personally signed by the ex-Chairman, Esan North-East Local Government Council, Barr. Vincent Akhere and made available to newsmen in Benin.
According to him, “The appointment of Barr. Dr. Samson Osagie as Edo State New Attorney -General and Commissioner of Justice reflects his exceptional contributions to the state political and judicial landscape.
“Your quintessential performance as a vocal voice in the Green Chamber and pivotal role as the Chairman, APC Campaign Council Sub-Committee on Contact and Mobilization in collaboration with other leaders of the party earned the All Progressives Congress (APC) a resounding victory during the Edo State gubernatorial Election. Your involvement in intensive legal practice across Nigeria and the entire African Continent gave rise to your well-deserved appointment as the new Attorney-General by our brand new Edo State Executive Governor, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo.
“I have no doubt in my mind that under your able leadership, Edo State Judicial System will witness significant improvements.
“Recall Barr. Dr. Samson Osagie holds a First Degree in Law from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile- Ife, a qualifying Certificate for Law practice (BL) from the Nigerian Law School, a triple Master Degrees in Law, Public Administration and International Relations respectively. He also bagged a Doctorate Degree in Political Economy and Development Studies. These are some of his attributes that endeared him to Governor Monday Okpebholo.
