Over 10,090 New Students takes Matriculation Oath In Auchi Polytechnic

No fewer than 10,090 new students were admitted into Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State for the 2024/20256 academic section.
This was disclosed by Dr. Salisu Umar, rector of the polytechnic during the 43rd matriculation ceremony held at the new Auditorium of the polytechnic recently.
Dr. Salisu urged the newly admitted students to count themselves lucky out of the thousands that applied for admission.
According to him, “Today we matriculated a total number of 10,090 students of which National Diploma (ND) has 5,407 while Higher National Diploma (HND) 4,390 and degree students are 293.”
While congratulating the newly admitted students for their successful admission, the Rector urged them to face their studies squarely and not to lose the golden opportunity of acquiring polytechnic education.

He however draw their attention to the fact that this is their first stage of their intellectual journey through the great polytechnic.
“It is my hope that at the end of your programme, you will make a successful and triumphant exist from this polytechnic,” he said.
Dr. Salisu said that the institution had zero tolerance for cultism and advised them to shun all forms of social vices.
“Our matriculating students, to obtain a certificate in Auchi Polytechnic, you must be found worthy in learning and character.
“At all cost, shun all forms of social vices such as examination malpractice, sexual misbehaviour, fraudulent acts, cultism and other social vices that can destroy your future.,” he added.
Dr. Salisu therefore reminded them that the oat they have taken today is to be obedient to the rector and all those in authority and to be good conduct throughout their stay in the polytechnic.
