Legendary music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has sparked another controversy as he deletes his love-post about Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, granddaughter of Chief Osawaru Igbineidon, the Esama of Benin Kingdom, a Nigerian politician, currently serving as the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA).

On Wednesday, February 11, 2025, the 2Baba had shared a video post via his Instagram handle doting his love for the lawmaker and his intention to marry her, but he swiftly took it down after gaining widespread attention: “Yes, I love her. She’s amazing, she’s cool. I want to marry her,” he noted.

He also highlighted that he and his ex-wife, Annie Macaulay Idibia, are on good terms with great understanding:

“On the other side, Annie and I are not fighting, we are not quarrelling. We have a good understanding of ourselves and what’s going on,” he said.

Additionally, in a bit to address the notion that the lawmaker, Natasha, had been the one causing the rift and fall out between him and his wife, he came in big in her defence:

“Honourable Natasha has seen. She has been called all sorts of names. She is a young, brilliant, amazing woman. She had nothing to do with what’s happening between Annie and me in our marriage. She has absolutely nothing to do with that, but I see everybody allegedly trying to rope her into everything,”

However, with the news of his newfound love and his divorce–all happening within two weeks, netizens and fans are led to believe that this may just be a stunt for the news.

Even more, Natasha had come out to debunk all speculations about any love affair with the music icon, 2Baba.
