Lent, Ash Wednesday: APC Senatorial Aspirant, Glory Momodu Felicitates Christians

Glory Oziegbe Momodu, Edo Central Senatorial District Aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has extended greetings to Christian faithfuls in Edo Central in particular, Edo State in general and Nigeria at large following the commencement on this year sacred season of Lend.
In a press statement personally signed by the senatorial hopeful and made available to newsmen, Glory Oziegbe Momodu urged Christians stated that the sacred season of Lent, Ash Wednesday serves as a solemn reminder of our dependence on the grace of God in whatever we do.
The APC senatorial aspirant hopeful who stated that the Lent season is a time of reflection, repentance, and renewal of our faith, noted that it’s an opportunity to draw closer to God in our thoughts and dealings through Christ our Lord and Saviour; in fasting and prayers, supplications, and acts of charity.
According to him, “Remember the faith we must keep with the sure hope of eternity with God after our journey on earth. We must bear in mind that the Bible reminds us that we are dust, and to dust, we shall return (Genesis 3:19).
“Therefore, Lent calls us to a journey of reflections and transformations. So, let us seek this transformation and extend the same to our communities as a token of love for our neighbours, which is the skeletal core of the commandment of Christ.
“As I humbly offer myself to serve as Senator for Edo Central to be determined in the upcoming bye-election, I am committed to upholding the values of integrity, service, and progress for our people. With faith and unity in God and a belief in you to give me the mandate, we can together build a better future for our people in the Senatorial District. I pledge to be your voice, hope, and indeed, your Senator.
“May this season bring us renewed strength, wisdom, and the grace to walk in God’s will. I wish you a blessed and grace-filled Ash Wednesday. May God Almighty grant us all the courage and strength to go through this moment in humility.”
