Edo Central Senatorial Bye-Election: Momodu Unveils Plans To Develop Esanland

Sir Engr. Glory Oziegbe Momodu, Edo Central Senatorial District Aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has unveiled his plans to develop Esanland focusing on providing stable water supply to the region.

As a United States of America military veteran and Engineering Consultant, Momodu aims to make Esanland a comfortable place for everyone to live with basic amenities like permanent portable water supply.

Momodu, who met with local leaders and party executives, received a historic warm welcome during his recent rally in Esan Central and Igueben local government areas of Edo State.

According to him, “My commitment to this project is Water. In the military, I specialised in Water and fuel systems engineering. My team and I were in Rwanda, Gambia, Uganda, Kuwait, and even in the desert, where we installed Water in every military base across the world.”

Sir Momodu as the philanthropist that he is, seized the occasion to provide support to the APC executives in Igueben and Irrua, respectively, and pledged to handle the rent payment for the APC Secretariat building in Igueben local government area.

At Irrua, the administrative headquarters of Esan Centre local government area, the Onojie of Irrua Kingdom, who is also the Okaijiesan of Esanland, His Royal Highness Alhaji William Momodu the second warmly received Engr. Glory Momodu, offering  prayers and advice, urging him to fulfil his promises to the people if elected.

Engr. Momodu was accompanied by his friends and fellow military veterans to visit the palace of the Okaijesan, Prince Jimat  Momodu, who is the crown prince of Irrua Kingdom.

The extraordinary king of Esanland lauded Engr. Momodu for his courage and offered thanks to God that this is happening in his time. He emphasised that a young and vibrate man like Glory Momodu is the one Esan needs to ensure the skeletal core of development.

He pointed out that, though in shadow, Engr. Momodu is not the same as the Royal family (Momodu) of Irrua but has become the same in substance. He eulogised the link between the two families, especially the fact that he was in the military like the crown prince of his kingdom. He believed that this would be good fortune and gave his blessings wholeheartedly to Engr. Momodu, as he in anticipation, represents the good people of Esanland in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly

According to Okaijesan of Esanland, “I wish to advise that you should be more careful on this ambition and do not permit liars to truncate your effort of winning your party’s primary and subsequently emerge victorious during the senatorial bye-election. If you wish to win the election, be humble to everyone.”

Prince Momodu and Engr. Momodu are two in a million who share the same background. While Prince Jimat Momodu is a Nigerian military veteran, Engr. Glory Momodu was in the United States military.

Some APC party supporters also expressed confidence in Momodu’s ability to bring positive change to Esanland.

The former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Edoror submits that “Momodu is a refined promising young man. We are first of all very proud that he has excelled in his private life.”

According to Engr. Festus Agbon, former Vice Chairman, Esan West local government council, “I thank God for giving us a young dynamic man, who from the beginning, knows what he intends achieve.”

Recall that Engr. Momodu had been receiving Royal blessings from the kings who attended the events both at the Onojie of Igueben and Onojie of Ekpoma palaces.
