Dr. Anthony Aziegbemi, Chris Nehikhare, Co-travellers Reduced to Political Irrelevance

The recent developments within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have not only confirmed our earlier predictions about the party’s inevitable decline but have also exposed the glaring failures that have led to its current state of disarray.
The PDP, already adrift, has now begun to sink decisively under the weight of internal incompetence and poor leadership.
The abysmal performance of the PDP, particularly when juxtaposed with the progressive and towering developmental strides of Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo and the All Progressives Congress (APC), has become the foundation for the long-overdue ousting of Dr. Anthony Aziegbemi and his caretaker committee.
As revealed through a press statement by the Zonal Publicity Secretary of the PDP (South-South), the Aziegbemi-led caretaker committee has been officially dissolved, with a new committee appointed to manage the affairs of the Edo State chapter of the PDP for the next two months.
It is not just disgraceful but deeply symbolic that Dr. Aziegbemi and Chris Nehikhare have been unceremoniously shown the exit, much like failed commanders forced to abandon a lost battle.
This removal serves as a loud verdict on the administrative incompetence that defined their tenure.
The rot, widely acknowledged as stemming from the Obaseki-led administration and nurtured by the PDP State Working Committee under Dr. Aziegbemi, has now culminated in a full-blown crisis.
Edo people can now clearly see the contrast between failure and progress.
Under the capable leadership of Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, the APC continues to usher in a new era of purposeful governance, infrastructural development, and visionary leadership.
The people of Edo State deserve a better treatment and with Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo leading the charge, there is renewed hope for a brighter, and more prosperous future.
