Edo State House Of Assembly Deputy Speaker Resigns

Deputy Speaker Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA), Rt. Hon. Mrs Maria Edeko of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), member representing Esan North-East ll Constituency has resigned.

Rt. Hon. Maria Edeko’s resignation follows the minority status the PDP has assumed since the All Progressives Congress, (APC) membership in the Assembly swelled to 16.

As a member of a minority party, she could not have remained in the capacity of deputy speaker of the house.
