Democracy Day: Gov Okpebholo Is Building An Inclusive and Equitable Edo State – Ohonbamu

Edo State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Paul Ohonbamu has reaffirmed that the Governor Monday Okpebholo led administration will deliver dividends of democracy, build an inclusive and equitable Edo state.
The Commissioner in a statement in Benin City disclosed that Governor Okpebholo believes that democracy should improve the lives of the citizens.
According to Ohonbamu, as the nation celebrates Democracy Day, everyone should reflect on the principles of freedom, equality, justice and good governance.
The Commissioner noted that Democracy Day is to reflect on the sacrifices of those who fought for the rights and freedoms of the people.
“Democracy is not just a system of government, but a way of life that empowers citizens, promotes accountability, and fosters inclusive development.
“As we mark this day, let’s recognize the progress we have made and acknowledge the challenges we still face.
“Let us work together to strengthen our democratic institutions, protect human rights and ensure that the voices of all citizens are heard.
“Together, we can build a brighter future for ourselves and future generations and the Monday Okpebholo administration remains committed to enforcing the rights of the citizens.
“Under the capable leadership of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the government has prioritized initiatives targeted at building a more inclusive and equitable Edo State,” he added
