Group Calls on INEC To Immediately Conduct Edo Central By-Election
Members of the Support Group For Hon. John Yakubu Senatorial ambition has called on Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to do the needful regarding the much awaited Edo Central Senatorial by-election of Edo State.
Members of the Group are made up of Men, Women, and Youths from the five local government that made up the senatorial district.
They decried a situation where the senatorial district that produced men like Chief Anthony Enaholo of blessed memory who moved the motion for the Independence of this country is being denied a space in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.
According to the group, the budget of 2025 was passed in the absence of the Edo Central Senatorial District. As we speak now, there’s nothing to show that our Central District is among the 109 District that we have in Nigeria.
They noted that with the election of John Yakubu through the conduct of the by- elections, the Esan voice will roared again to the benefit of Nigeria as a Nation and Edo State in particular.
They urged Hon John Yakubu to keep hope alive as the people of the senatorial district are anxiously waiting to elect him as their next senator.
