Edo Central Senatorial By-Election: Delegates Will Determine APC Party’s Candidate – Glory Oziegbe Momodu’s Campaign Org

The Oziegbe Glory Momodu’s campaign organization on Friday said the collection and submission of expression of interests and nomination forms by Engr. Oziegbe Glory Momodu and Hon. Joe Ikpea, on July 10, 2025, have done. The decision now lies on the delegate members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to determine who will secure the party’s ticket to contest in the August 16 senatorial by-elections.
This was disclosed in a congratulatory message to the two APC aspirants that emanated for the campaign council of Engr. Glory Oziegbe Momodu and made available to newsmen in Abuja.
The organization noted that this development has effectively put the consensus issue to rest.
According to the organization’s statement on July 1, 2025, we petitioned the Acting National Chairman and INEC, expressing concerns about attempts to compromise the party’s upcoming primaries. We have since informed our supporters, emphasizing that power belongs to the people and that they will not vote for aspirants who are inaccessible after elections.
“We advise our supporters to remain vigilant during the primaries and collate evidence of intimidation and financial inducement and any attempt to manipulate the process.
“Our primary goal is to ensure the people’s will prevails. We shall challenge any violated section of the electoral Act when necessary.
“We put our trust in God, the people, and the rule of law. We seek a fair process.
“We urge the party’s electoral body to conduct primaries that will be acceptable to all.
“We must outgrow electoral challenges in our country and correct the internal democracy to make election easy for the people.
“What happened to PDP in the last senatorial election in Edo Central is enough wisdom to behold by the leadership of this party.”
