Edo NUJ Hosts VOS TV Management, Pledges Support for Ethical Journalism

The Edo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) on Tuesday played host to the management and staff of Vanco Online Space (VOS TV Global Media Service), led by its supervisor, Austine Ayeni, during a courtesy visit to the union Secretariat, Oba Oguola Press Centre in Benin.

Speaking during the visit, Mr. Ayeni said VOS TV, a fast-rising online media platform established in 2021, has remained committed to balanced, fair, and unbiased news reportage.

He emphasized that the visit was aimed at fostering a working relationship with the NUJ, the umbrella body for practicing journalists in the state.

According to him, aligning with the NUJ is essential for promoting journalistic integrity and professionalism, adding that the organization seeks the support and collaboration of the union to further sustain its mission in the media space.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Edo State NUJ Council, Comrade (Dr.) Festus Alenkhe, commended VOS TV for its professional approach to journalism.

He noted that the platform stands out among online media organizations in the state and encouraged its team to remain committed to ethical standards in their reportage.

Dr. Alenkhe further assured the management of VOS TV of the union’s readiness to support its operations and expressed hope that the synergy between both bodies would promote quality journalism in Edo State.

The VOS TV delegation included the Head of Production, Dennis Ugbudian; Head of News, Jude Awheke; Head of Administration, Mrs. Petra Idehen, Head Of Social Media, Favour Uduomon, Head Of Marketing, Glory Ekanem, among others.

Also present at the meeting were members of the NUJ state executive council, including the Vice Chairman, Ede Agho; Secretary – Andy Egbon; Treasurer – Solomon Obozunya, Auditor – Paul Iduoze, Lucky Eghomuaye, Lucky Isibor, Deacon Simeon Osajie, Monday Oise, etc

The visit is expected to strengthen mutual cooperation and deepen professional ties between Vanco Online Space (VOS TV) and the Edo State Council of the NUJ.
