Barr. Akhere Congratulates Barr. Omosede Igbinedion On Her Victory At APC Ovia Fed. Constituency Bye-Election Primary
The Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Edo State, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo On Education and the State Co-ordinator of Akpakomiza-Denco Neighbour-To-Neighbour Movement, Hon. Barr. Vincent Oseyangbonaye Akhere has congratulated Barr. Omosede Gabriella Igbinedion on her emergence as the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Ovia Federal Constituency Bye-Election Primary conducted yesterday, Saturday 19, 2025 in the 23 wards that make up the constituency.
In a press statement signed Barr. Akhere, former Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism, Edo State and made available to newsmen in Benin, he described the nomination of Barr. Igbinedion as a round peg in a round hole, adding that as a former member who represented Ovia Federal Constituency in the House of Representaitives understands the plight of the good people of Ovia Federal Constituency and will certainly put the Constituency on the World Map of Development when elected into the Green Chambers of the National Assembly, come the 16th of August, 2025.
According to the Ex-Esan North-East Local Government Council Boss, “Your emergence as APC Candidate, Ovia Federal Constituency for the August 16, 2025 Bye-Election is a testament to your sterling qualities, commitment and dedication to the wellbeing of the people of Ovia North-East and Ovia South-West Local Government Areas.”
While commending Governor Monday Okpebholo for providing a level playing field for all aspirants, Barr Akhere stated, “The foundation for a free, fair and transparent APC primary devoid of bitterness and rancour was laid from the onset by our Uncommon Governor, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo who made the nomination process seamless and peaceful through his impressive track record thus far and political sagacity.
“I am confident that Barr. Omosede Igbinedion will make a significant impact in the House of Representatives just as she did during the 8th National Assembly. Your message of unity, progress, and accountability resonates with the people, and I will be excited to see you represent your constituency as a legal luminary once again with passion and integrity.
