Ahead of the August 16, 2025 Edo Central Senatorial Bye-election in the state, the State chapter of the Labour Party (LP), has issued a Certificate of Return to Comrade Paul Omo Okojie, declaring him as the candidate of the party.

The Certificate of Return serves as official recognition of Paul Omo Okojie’s victory, empowering him to represent the district in the forthcoming senatorial Bye-Election.

With the certificate, Comrade Okojie can now officially take his campaign to his constituents where he has vowed to flaw candidates of other political parties who are also vying for the Senate seat in legislative activities of the district.

Okojie’s nomination as the candidate of the LP, is in accordance with the electoral laws and guidelines set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), ending all speculation about parallel interest within the party.

Okojie’s victory is a litmus test to opposition candidates which is seen by political enthusiasts as an ensured representation for the Edo Central Senatorial District in the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, potentially impacting the district’s development and interests.

Speaking shortly to journalists after receiving his Certificate of Return, the media consultant cum politician expressed confidence of his victory at the poll come August 16, 2025 billed for the bye-election in the state.

Recall that Mr. Paul Okojie, an entrepreneur and media consultant in one of his remarks said he will contribute his quota to shaping laws and policies that will positively affect his constituents and by extension the nation.

Governor Monday Okpebholo vacated the seat at the red chambers when he won his nomination as the Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, and later declared winner by INEC after polling more votes than his closest opponents, Dr. Asue Ighodalo of the PDP.

Since paul Okojie, steps into the political stage, hopes have risen for youths participation.
