Members of the Ologbo N’ugu Global Association (ONGA) has appealed to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, to kindly reconsider the suspension of Mr. Felix Osemwengie Isere, the suspended Special Adviser on Oil and Gas.

This was contained in statement tiled: “Clarion Call for the Reinstatement of Barrister Felix Isere” dated 30th July, 2025, signed by its Chairman, Clement Uwoghiren and made available to newsmen in Benin, Edo State capital.

The organization emphasizes that this appeal is rooted in a desire for fairness, justice, and unity for Edo State.

The statement read: “According to publicly available documents, the much-discussed Oil and Gas Summit was previously approved by the governor himself. Furthermore, the organization notes that the governor explicitly authorized the involvement of Stakeholders, corporate and individuals to contribute to the success of the initiative. These approvals demonstrate that the project was aligned with the government’s development goals and had the Governor’s backing.

“Given this context, we believe that the suspension might have been based on misunderstanding or incomplete information.

“We are calling for a thorough and transparent review of the unjust punishment, trusting that fairness and due process will guide leadership decisions. We affirm our confidence in the governor’s wisdom and commitment to justice.

“Mr. Isere is widely respected among the members of this Association for his dedication, innovation, vision, and leadership in advancing Edo’s economic prospects, particularly in the oil and gas sector. His efforts to attract investment and create opportunities for our youths are seen as crucial for the state’s future development. The organization believes that supporting such initiatives is vital for Edo’s growth and prosperity.

“We kindly urge the governor to consider the official approvals and the positive intentions behind the summit. We further hope that Mr. Isere’s suspension will be reconsidered, allowing him to continue his good work for the benefit of Edo State. Such a decision, we believe would reinforce principles of fairness and demonstrate the compassionate leadership for which Edo is known.

“The organization also emphasizes its commitment to supporting the government’s efforts and fostering an environment of cooperation, dialogue, and mutual understanding. We believe that patience and open communication are essential in overcoming challenges and building a brighter future for Edo.

“In conclusion, the members of the Association respectfully appeal to His Excellency to review his decision with godly heart, fairness, and understanding. We are confident that justice will prevail, and that Mr. Isere will be given the opportunity to serve Edo State once again, in the spirit of unity, progress, and shared prosperity.”
