Following the insinuations over the alleged defection of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Edo governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo, the Team Asue Media Organization (TAMO) on Monday dismissed a video circulating online alleging that Dr. Asue Ighodalo has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Recall that Asue Ighodalo was the PDP governorship candidate in the Edo 2024 election.
A statement signed by Team Lead, Team Asue Media Organization (TAMO) Erhabor Emokpae and made available to newsmen in Benin dismissed the insinuations by mischief makers that the Edo PDP governorship candidate has dumped the Party.
Emokpae who dismissed as fake news the defection, said the attention of the Team Asue Media Organization (TAMO) has been drawn to a video circulating online alleging that Dr. Asue Ighodalo has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The statement said, “This claim is false. Dr. Ighodalo remains a member of the PDP. We urge the public to disregard this baseless fabrication and the mischief behind it, which is aimed at misleading our supporters ahead of the National Assembly by-elections scheduled for later this month.
“Dr. Ighodalo remains focused on his vision for a prosperous and safe Edo and on strengthening the PDP as a platform that truly protects the interests of the people.”
