New Edo Line Passengers Abducted Along Benin-Iyere Agbanikaka Oluku Road

…Sixteen of the victims have been rescued so far, Says CSP Yamu

Passengers of the New Edo Line and three other commercial vehicles were yesterday, September 5, abducted along Benin-Iyere Agbanikaka Oluko Road in Edo State.
The Edo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Edo State Command, CSP Moses Joel Yamu, said the 16 passengers of a commercial bus have been rescued.

A video of other commuters of the road moments after the abduction occurred made the rounds on social media this morning. According to reports, the abduction occurred at about 4.30pm.
Reacting via his X handle, Yamu wrote: “Sixteen of the victims have been rescued so far, as search and rescue operation by @EdoPoliceNG continue.”
