Okpebholo’s Bold Move for Quality Healthcare Towards a Healthier Edo yielding Result says Ime-Ojeikere
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ward 3, Oke New, Owan West LGA, Victor Ime-Ojeikere, on Monday commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for his commitment to building an Edo where access to quality healthcare is not a privilege, but a fundamental right.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Benin, Mr. Ime-Ojeikere stated that the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo is a true father to all Edo people.
According to Ime-Ojeikere, Governor Okpebholo’s bold step stands as an attestation to his vision and steadfast dedication to the wellbeing of the people, and it brings hope for a healthier and more equitable future for all.
He lauded the Governor for his commitment to reducing maternal and child mortality in Edo State by addressing the healthcare needs of the people through a landmark donation of 2.5 billion for the construction of a state-of-the-art pediatric complex built to meet international standards.
The statement reads, “His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, Executive Governor of Edo State and a true father to all Edolites, both rich and poor, envisions an Edo where access to quality healthcare is not a privilege, but a fundamental right. He desires a State where every individual, regardless of background, can live, thrive, and enjoy good health.
“In line with his commitment to building an Edo where healthcare knows no boundaries, Governor Okpebholo made a landmark donation of 2.5 billion for the construction of a state-of-the-art pediatric complex, designed to meet international standards. This world-class facility will cater to mothers and children, ensuring safer deliveries, reducing maternal and infant mortality, and strengthening child healthcare services in the State.
