PDP Set to Conduct LG Party Congress Across Edo

In continuation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) congress that kicked-off last week with the successful election of Ward Executives into the 192 wards across the Edo State, the party has notified its members and the general public that the Party Congress to elect Local Government Area (LGA) Party Chairmen and Executive Committee members, and one National Delegate from each of the 18 Local Government will hold tomorrow, Saturday, September 20, 2025.
This was disclosed in a press statement signed by Hon. Chris Osa Nehikhare, State Publicity Secretary, Caretaker Committee of the party and made available to newsmen in Benin, the state capital.
Nehikhare who disclosed that the congress will take place simultaneously at all PDP Local Government Secretariats across the state as from 8.00am, said that all delegates, aspirants, and party members are enjoined to participate actively, and to conduct themselves in an orderly and peaceful manner throughout the exercise.
He emphasized that the party reaffirms its commitment to a transparent, credible, and constitutionally guided process. We therefore count on the cooperation of all stakeholders to ensure the success of this important exercise.
