The historic city will transform into a vibrant arena of tradition, creativity, and community as thousands of participants and visitors converge for four days of music, dance, art, and cultural pride.

Taking place at Garrick Memorial on Ekehuan Road in the state capital organisers say the carnival is more than just an event.

A statement issued by the organisers read, “Attendees can expect a feast for the senses: from the rhythmic beats of drums and electrifying masquerade performances to colorful street parades, Afrobeat concerts, and dazzling fashion showcases. The carnival will also feature food festivals, offering the finest Edo delicacies alongside Nigerian favorites, ensuring that taste buds are as engaged as the eyes and ears.”

It added that highlights include cultural parades that celebrate Edo’s deep-rooted traditions, live music concerts headlined by top performers, dance competitions, and street performances that will keep the city buzzing.

“The Miss Edo Carnival 2025 beauty pageant is also set to draw major attention, spotlighting grace, intelligence, and cultural pride,” the organisers said.

The statement also noted that beyond the entertainment, the carnival carries an educational and empowering edge, with seminars and training sessions designed to inspire and equip participants.
