The elders and people of Okuoromi in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State have expressed thanks and gratitude to His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II CFR, Oba of Benin Kingdom for the restoration of peace in the community through his pronouncement that the Odionwere is the administrative head of the community.
The people gave the appreciation while speaking to journalists after an enlarged meeting comprising the community at the Odionwere’s residence on the 4th of October, 2025.
The Odionwere, Pa Oghagbon Edosomwan while speaking to journalists after the enlarged meeting of the people of the community, thanked and appreciated the Benin Monarch for recognition and finding him worthy to be the head of the community in his pronouncement on Thursday 2nd of October, 2025 at the Palace and maintained that he remains the Odionwere and all the administrative work in the community are under his control on behalf of the Palace.

While pledging his unalloyed loyalty to the Oba Ewuare II and the constituted authority, Pa Edosomwan further appreciated the Benin Monarch for the respect and privilege invested on him and promised to continue to promote the rich cultural heritage of the great Benin Kingdom.
Also speaking, the Okaighele of Okuoromi Community, Hon. Oduwa Igbinosun said the people are in a joyous mood following the pronouncement and clarifications on Thursday 2nd October 2025 by His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II CFR, Oba of Benin Kingdom that the Pa Oghagbon Edosomwan remains the Odionwere and the administrative head of the community on behalf of the Palace.

He used the occasion to inform the general public as well as the security agencies to note on the great Oba Ewuare II CFR, pronouncement that Pa Oghagbon Edosomwan remains the Odionwere and administrative head of the community and all administrative dealings will go through the Odionwere.
Corroborating what the Odionwere and Okaighele said, Madam Janet Igbinovia speaking on behalf of the women. She thanked the Oba for his wisdom and restoration of peace through the pronouncement that Pa Oghagbon Edosomwan remains the Odionwere and administrative head of the community.
